The word 'recap' is informal language. In my opinion, informal language is not appropriate for a website. The Fedora website also has an international audience and it will not get translated in all languages. For people for whom English is a foreign language, the word 'recapitulation' is easier to understand than 'recap'. The word 'summary' is even easier to understand than 'recapitulation'. I can understand that 'recap' is short, quick and post-modern. But because it is informal, it remains a vulgarity.
